Cake Care & Advice

  • Store in cool area away from direct sun-light.
  • Please do NOT keep cakes in the fridge.
  • Some models may contain sharp supports.
  • Our sponge cakes are best consumed within 2-3 days of collection or delivery. See other product bands below for best before dates.
  • If your cake contains Dairy and/or Ganache (double cream) as long as they are stored correctly in a cool place they will keep for up to 7 days (unless otherwise stated on the cake box), although we recommend consuming within 2-3 days especially in the warmer Summer months.
  • Our fruit cakes are best consumed within 3 months from collection date or can be frozen.
  • Although every effort is made to keep our cake textures and qualities consistent occasionally they may vary to a small degree depending on the regional qualities of ingredients used.

We use the following ingredients in our cakes: Wheat flour (cereal containing Gluten), Eggs, Milk, Nuts and Peanuts (confectionery), Soya milk, Soya margarine, Sesame seeds, dried fruit preservatives Sulphur Dioxide and Sulphates. Please see our full list of Allergens used on our premises at the bottom of this page.

1) All of our ingredients are always of the highest quality.
2) All fruit cakes used contain nuts, or traces of peanuts, other nuts or nut oil unless otherwise requested.
3) Nuts: Please note all our cakes are made in an environment where peanuts, nuts and nut products are used.
4) Dairy: Please note all our cakes are made in an environment where milk, butter, and other dairy products are used.
5) EggsPlease note all our cakes are made in an environment where eggs are used.
6) Wheat flour, Rye, Barley, and Oats (cereals containing gluten): Please note all our cakes are made in an environment
where cereals containing gluten i.e. wheat flour, rye, barley and oat products are used.
7) To the best of our knowledge none of our ingredients above are manufactured in facilities that also process lupin flour.
8) Seeds: Please note all our cakes are made in an environment
where sesame and poppy seed products are used very occasionally.
9) Soya: Please note all our cakes are made in an environment where soya milk, soya margarine and other soya products are used. 
10) Dried fruits: Please note our dried fruits used in various cakes (mainly fruit cakes) and mince pies  are preserved with Sulphur Dioxide and Sulphates.
